I am the mother of a grown-up son and live in Mullumbimby,
NSW. I love animals and long walks on the beach.
I have been a Craniosacral Balancing (CSB) Practitioner
since 1996 and specialise in working with women during
their childbearing period and newborn babies. CSB
has sparked my passion for midwifery; first I became
a doula and eventually also a midwife.
I completed a Bachelor of Midwifery degree in New
Zealand and worked there as an independent lead maternity
carer (LMC). I will be forever grateful that I had
the privilege to work in New Zealand's wonderful maternity
system! However Australia is my home and since May
2011 I am officially back.
In October/November 2011 I volunteered my time and
skills at the Port Vila Maternity Hospital in Vanuatu.
It was eye-opening to work with limited resources
and wonderful to facilitate many normal births! What
a special and amazing experience!
Presently I am offering homebirth services in private
midwifery practice as well as birth support services
and craniosacral work for pregnant women and newborn
babies. I am a regular guest speaker at the Byron
Bay Pregnancy Support Group and facilitate a monthly
support group called 'Healing from Birth' for women
whose birth experience was not what they expected.
I am available for individual consultations on preconception,
birth, VBAC planning, breastfeeding and support for
healing from traumatic birth experiences.
